What should I do in case of overdose?
Increase to 20 mg or decrease to 5 mg based on efficacy and tolerability. How is this drug best taken?
CrCl: 30 to 80 mL/min: No adjustment recommended. Comment: The orally disintegrating tablet (brand Staxyn) can be used in patients with mild, moderate or severe renal impairment. Mild hepatic dysfunction (Child-Pugh A): No adjustment recommended. Moderate hepatic dysfunction (Child-Pugh B): 5 mg orally once a day, as needed, approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum dose should not exceed 10 mg. If it still does not help, talk with your prescriber before changing your dose.
Are there any dosage adjustments for certain people?
Severe hepatic dysfunction (Child-Pugh C): Use should be avoided. Comment: The orally disintegrating tablets should not be used in patients with moderate (Child-Pugh B) or severe (Child-Pugh C) hepatic dysfunction. The dose may be increased to a maximum recommended dose of 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg based on efficacy and side effects.
